Hello fellow yarn lovers! My name is Meagan and this blog is my ongoing journal for documenting information I gather about fiber arts. Much of it has been accumulated through various online sources, but a good deal of it is my attempts to do something with little knowledge but plenty of gusto!
I fell in love with yarn in the summer of 2009, and established my farm in early 2010. My current fiber animals include my Shetland sheep flock of 7 and my 2 angora rabbits.
I hope my blog can provide you with knowledge or entertainment about the various steps involved in creating and using something so simple as a piece of yarn. I can tell you, I never thought I would gain such pleasure from such an object, but indeed the yarnmaking process holds a special secret, a path to creativity and calmness. Perhaps that’s why Gandhi spun cotton.
